Privacy

This is how we handle your data.

VIPSZ is a small platform of chauffeurs, with one person who reads your request and manages your details. This page explains in plain language what we ask of you, why, how long we keep it and how you can have it removed.

Which data we collect

Only what is needed to drive you. Specifically:

  • Your name, to address you and to put the ride in your name.
  • Your phone number and, if you enter it, your email address, to confirm your request and to reach you if something changes on the way.
  • The pick-up address, any stops and the destination, to plan and drive the ride.
  • The date, the time and the chosen service.
  • What you write in the remarks field yourself, for instance an order number or an instruction. Do not put anything there that you do not need to tell us.
  • The location of the car during your ride, the chauffeur shares his position while the ride is in progress, so you can see where he is. This is about the car, not your phone; we do not track you.
  • Messages you send us by text message or WhatsApp: the text, your phone number and the time. We keep them so we know what was agreed with you. To simple questions about your own ride, where the chauffeur is, what time, whether the ride is confirmed, what it costs, the system may reply automatically with what is in your ride; a person reads all other messages. About a price agreement, a change or a cancellation the system never replies automatically.
  • Payment details if you pay online: amount, payment method and status. Your card or bank details never reach us, they stay with the payment service.

We use no advertising cookies, no visitor statistics and no profiles. The site puts nothing in your browser that tracks you.

What we use them for

  • Assessing and confirming your request and carrying out the ride.
  • Contacting you about that ride, by phone, WhatsApp, text message or email, whichever reaches you fastest.
  • Preparing the invoice and handling the payment.
  • Keeping our records. The Dutch tax authority requires us to keep invoices for seven years; that also applies to the name and address on them.

The legal basis is the agreement we enter into with you (the ride), and for the invoices a legal obligation. We sell nothing on and do not use your data for advertising.

How long we keep them

The location data disappears as soon as the ride is finished. The moment the chauffeur completes or cancels the ride, the system deletes the last position and the full track of that ride. So no map remains of where you have been. That is built that way on purpose.

The data of the ride itself, name, contact details, addresses, date, we keep for as long as we need it. If a request does not go ahead, you may ask us to delete it right away. If there is an invoice, the tax authority holds us to seven years; so we cannot remove those invoice details earlier.

Who we share them with

Only with the services we need in order to work. They may process your data solely for us and not use it for themselves.

Which services exactly
  • Supabase, where the ride records are stored (servers in the European Union).
  • Mollie, the Dutch payment service, if you pay online.
  • Resend, for sending email to you.
  • WhatsApp / Meta, if we send you a message that way. If you would rather not, just say so; then we call.
  • Text messages we send from our own device with our own SIM card. So your phone number and the text of the message do not pass through an SMS provider, only your phone company sees them, just like a normal message. Should we ever switch to a provider, it will be listed here.
  • PDOK, the address service of the Dutch government. While you type an address, your browser asks PDOK directly which addresses match. That is a government service without a commercial interest.
  • Render, the party that runs this website.

No one else. We give nothing to third parties, unless the law obliges us to.

What you can ask

You may always ask us which data we hold about you, have it corrected, have it deleted or have its use stopped. One message is enough, you do not need to give a reason.

Email us at holdingfct@gmail.com or call +31 6 54 77 37 77. We reply within a week, and settle it within a month.

If you feel we are not doing it right, you can complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority. We would rather hear it from you first, so we can put it right.

Security

The site runs entirely over a secure connection. The dashboard holding the rides is protected with a key, and a chauffeur only sees the ride he is logged in for. Our keys are never in the page you request.
